Handmades By Maryn!

Hello everyone!
I am making and selling custom homemade apparel. I can typically do any lettering and basic design within reason! The crew neck sweatshirts that I use are Hanes brand and generally fit true to size just maybe a tiny but smaller. I wear a size small with most clothes but I'm more comfortable in a medium sized Hanes crew neck. They don't shrink! I can do other clothing too, just depending on the cost, the price of your total will vary.

These are all crew necks that I have complete and ready to sell! They are $20 each.

If you have your own idea for a shirt let me know! We can okay around with ideas and see what would be best! My goal is to give everyone a more affordable option for these cute homemade shirts that won't break your budget! Please feel free to email me with any questions or order you may have at:

go big red!

So if you don't wear red on game day in Nebraska do you really even live here? Today was an eventful Saturday for me! Went to Omaha with my boyfriend, Aaron, for a little lunch & shopping and then headed back to Lincoln for the Husker volleyball game! Now we are watching the Husker football game on tv and I'm sipping on my Raising Cane's sweet tea. Yum! Life is good. Here's my outfit from today!

Fall is here but apparently Nebraska wasn't aware of that this weekend! It was still pretty warm on Sunday so I took full advantage of it by wearing this dress from a local boutique here in Lincoln. I'm in love with these colors together and they go perfectly with these heels.

styling a denim shirt for the fall

I'm finally back! It has been awhile since I've last posted because school and work have started, but I'm hoping to post more now that I've figured out my schedule a little better! Fall is almost here and I would have to say that one of my favorite fall looks is a denim shirt. Denim shirts look super cute with layers and jewelry/accessories! They're also so comfortable and easy to wear on a lazy day or dress up for a special occasion! For today's post I've included different ways to style a denim shirt for the fall season.

I got this denim shirt at Target last year but you can buy a one basically anymore right now! I know that I've seen then at Target, Forever 21, and Charlotte Rousse for a pretty decent price.

I layered this with a plaid button up shirt from American Eagle and black jeans from Target. I also rolled the sleeves up together to give it a cute layered look.

We all have tank tops from summer that we just aren't ready to put away for the colder seasons, so pairing a denim shirt with your favorite tank is super easy and cute! This tank top is from F21 and these tan pants are from American Eagle.

If you want to go for a more dressed up look you can pair it with a cute necklace or scarf. Or if you want to dress is down you can wear a cute black vest and a baseball cap!

For this last look I just left the two bottom buttons unbuttoned and tied the ends of the shirt together. You could wear this with a skirt and a cute necklace or high waisted jeans!

However you decide to style your shirt, rock it! These are just a few examples of what you can do, so explore with your style and have fun creating new looks!

back to school outfits

It's here! The first day of school is this week and the jitters are starting to set in. How much homework will I have? Will my teachers be strict? Who will I sit with at lunch? But the biggest worry is what in the world do I wear??!? Well, I have put together some of my favorite outfits that I think are adorable for the first day of school. I just mixed and matched some pieces that I already had sitting around in my closet. I also tried to make sure 95% of these clothes were under $20! It's fun to explore your style and put together outfits that you feel good in. You wanna make a good impression on the first day back because we all know by the time September rolls around everyone is going to be rocking the sweatpants and t-shirt life!

This outfit is a little boho-y and super comfy too! I always get cold sitting in class when the AC is blasting so I always make sure to have something I can put over my bare shoulders. Cardigans are also great to go over your favorite tank top when it's against the dress code.
Skirt : Target // Cardigan : Forever 21 // Tank top : Old Navy // Necklace : Forever 21 // Backpack : Target
This outfit is my preppy, pop your color look! I just threw this knit sweater over a denim dress and of course had to pair it with a statement necklace and my favorite TOMS!
Denim dress : Forever 21 // Sweater : H&M // Necklace : Target

This outfit is a lot more relaxed and casual for those of you who aren't really into skirts and dresses. I love to mix and match prints so I went with a floral headband and striped baseball tee. Also, IN LOVE with this Vera Bradley lunch tote that I found at the VB outlet store!
Jeans : American Eagle // T-shirt : Forever 21 // Headband : Forever 21 // Birkenstocks : Nordstrom Rack

Okay, for all of you who know me I LOVE polka dots, so this is clearly my favorite outfit out of the 4. These shorts are seriously the most comfortable shorts I have ever owned, they're basically like pajama shorts but not!

Best wishes to everyone starting their school year this week, make it your best yet!!

DIY Notebook Covers

In a few short weeks (or days) school bells will be ringing, big yellow buses will be making their way down the streets, and homework will consume our lives. That's right people, it's already AUGUST and school is just around the corner!!! Whether you're in middle school or college, everyone deserves cute school supplies that will brighten their day while sitting in class -  and what's better than something custom made that's totally YOU?! These DIY notebooks are super easy, affordable and they are so cute!

First you need to gather your supplies. All you'll need are:
1. Notebooks - these are 25 cents at Target!
2. Any kind of cardstock paper or scrapbooking paper. I got mine from Joann's.
3. Scissors or a paper cutter
4.  A paper hole punch
5. Any kind of adhesive - glue or mod podge works the best! Or if you have a Xyron that is what I use!

Next, mark the scrapbook paper where you need to cut to make it fit on the notebook cover. Make sure that it doesn't overlap onto the rings otherwise it won't fit correctly.

Cut your paper and then mark where the holes are so you can punch holes -

Once your holes are punched you are ready to put adhesive on!

If you're using tape, glue, or mod podge it's easier to put it on the cover of the notebook rather than the paper because it will be easier to exactly align everything in the end. Make sure you cover the whole thing so that there are no loose corners!

The end product is adorable and you can add whatever bling or lettering you want to! The whole process takes about 10-20 minutes.

Shopping, Starbucks, and Jesus

Yesterday I started my morning off with a yummy Panera breakfast sandwich and some iced vanilla coffee. Then I went to church and worshiped the Lord with my mom, did a little shopping, got some Starbucks and ended the night with a bonfire for my best friends birthday. For my outfit I went with something bright, colorful and totally me. Even though school starts soon it's still SUMMER! I am in love with this new floral skirt that I found for $10 at a local shop!

Skirt: The Black Market - it's from Delia's! // Top: H&M // Earrings and sunglasses: Forever 21 // Shoes: Target
